Providence is planned to have two parks and miles of trails winding through the community.
Inspired by American literary and historical icons, Huckleberry Park and Knickerbocker Park capture the spirit of small town Americana theme of the community. Huckleberry Park drew its name from Mark Twain’s classic character, Huckleberry Finn.
Providence’s Knickerbocker Park was named in honor of literary great Washington Irving, whose “Knickerbocker Tales,” a collection of stories from 8th century upstate New York include “Rip Van Winkle,” “The Headless Horseman,” and others.
